Marie Fay Minor

Marie Fay Minor, 88, of Moore died on May 27, 2013 at her home in Moore. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Primrose Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, May 29th at Primrose Funeral Service.

Marie was born in Everton, Arkansas on January 25, 1925 to Calvin and Virgie (Young) Williams. Marie moved to Oklahoma when she was young and since early adulthood has lived on the east side of Moore.

She married Oral Minor and was married for over 50 years. Marie was a country woman who loved to be outside in the garden and to farm. Her children have special memories of going to the livestock shows with their parents and Marie would work the concession stand and just enjoy being with the family. Family was the most important thing to Marie. She always put her children first and later in life her grandchildren. Her grandchildren explained that it was impossible to leave the house without being offered something to eat. Marie was a very loving and caring woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Merl Williams.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward “Barney” Minor of Moore and Eugene Minor and his wife Shirley of Moore; two grandsons, Clint Minor and his wife Stacy of Oklahoma City, Derek Minor and his wife Angi of Midwest City; three great-grandchildren, Stasia Kiefer, Drake Minor and Mattie Rains. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
