Melinda Jean Rappleyea, 58, of Norman, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Norman Regional Hospital following a long illness. Memorial services will be held Monday, April 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Primrose Chapel. Burial will be at the Denver Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Burns of Harvest Church will be officiating. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
She was born March 6, 1955, to Richard R. Rappleyea Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Mays) Rappleyea in Oklahoma City, OK. She lived most of her life in the Noble/Norman area. She was a retired Special Needs Teachers Assistant and spent most of her life working with children.
Ms. Rappleyea is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Georgia Reed. She is survived by two brothers, Richard “Bud” Rappleyea Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Noble and Steve Rappleyea and wife, Melissa, of Norman; ten Nieces and Nephews, Elizabeth and Jeb Lynch, Jennifer and JD Garrett, Richard and Mandy Rappleyea, Amy and Len Billett, April and Steve Hall, Daniel and Kasey Rappleyea, Brittany Rappleyea, and Rebecca and Roy Rudy; and nine great nieces and nephews and many friends.
