He was born May 8, 1965 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Walter George Reed Jr. and Lou E. McLendon. David graduated from Mannford High School in 1983 and then attended Oklahoma State University earning his Bachelor’s Degree.
David spent the majority of his professional career as an insurance adjuster. He also spent some time writing as a novelist, and he was most recently a pharmacy technician.
He enjoyed boating, knitting, painting, cars, scuba diving and hockey.
David fondly remembers having traveled to Europe, Eureka Springs, and San Francisco.
David took pride in his novels, but he was most proud of his nieces and nephews.
He was affiliated with the Mercedes Club and had won the Mercedes Best-In-Class Award twice!
David was preceded in death by his parents Walter G. Reed Jr. and Lou E. McLendon, and his mother-in-law Donna Haire.
Left to cherish his precious memory is his spouse of 20 years, Matthew Haire, his sister Kim Reed-Elkins, his father-in-law William Haire, his brother Jay Walter Reed, and his nieces and nephews: Caitlin Fullingim, Caleb Reed, Jaycie Dillinger, Tristan Elkins, Samantha Drake, Spencer Haire, Colin Haire, and Allie Schilling.
