Juanita was born on October 23, 1941 in the town of Hemphill, Texas. She married the love of her life Charles Kelton Spears on March 18, 1960. Throughout their 58 years of marriage, our family had the honor to see the amount of love and joy they shared for their 3 children. Juanita served proudly as the wife of a Sr. Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force alongside Charles. Their time in the military was spent traveling the world to places which include Thailand, Spain, Mississippi, Washington, Texas, New York, Oklahoma and Virginia. Juanita spent her time on this earth as a homemaker, raising their 3 beautiful kids and serving the Lord. She was very active within her church community as the pianist. The family loved to surround her piano and just listen to her play. She loved cooking and baking, serving within the church, God and more importantly her family. Her family was the light of her life and it was made evident every single day. Family dinners were always a must and the room was always filled with love and laughter. She loved her 4 grand-daughters but the love she had for her great grandchildren was that of none other. She loved to always ensure that she had “Orange Pop” and Cookies or something sweet for them every time she saw them and to always make sure she got sugars (kisses) before they left.
Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and the rock of our family. Her love was unconditional. She was a pillar of strength, dignity and guidance. The devotion to her family was never ending. Everyday she encouraged us to be a stronger and a kinder person than we were the day before. She taught us that love conquers all and to never lose faith even when times get tough. She was always there to listen when we needed to talk and was known to make the best Pecan Pie and Coconut Cream Pie.
