

Reva was born on April 25, 1929 to her parents Bennett R. & Irene Highfill in Friona, Texas. She grew up north of Mooreland, Oklahoma and became the Freedom Rodeo Queen in 1946. She was a remarkable woman, who led an amazing life. She owned two beauty salons in Woodward where her fine reputation caught the attention of Governor Henry Bellman, who appointed her to the State Board of Cosmetology.
Being a business owner in Woodward, was not her only accomplishment. She also earned a private pilot’s license and was a member of the Oklahoma women’s pilots association known as the Ninety-Nines. She earned her commercial drivers license and saw the much of the country while driving semi-trucks from coast to coast. She ran cattle and owned an oilfield business north of Mooreland. Later in life, she served as a caregiver to those who were suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia in Norman, Oklahoma.
Her greatest enjoyment was playing with her kids and grandkids outdoors; taking them camping, fishing, sledding, and even snow skiing. She loved Boiling Springs State Park and would take the family and stay at the cabins during special occasions, such as the times when she would go back to ride in the grand entry of the Freedom Rodeo,
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Jack and Bob Highfill; and her sister Wilda Long.
Reva is survived by her husband Harold Fithian; her brother Lewis Highfill and wife Donna; her children Dean Williams, Wauneva Richardson and husband Scott, Dale Williams and wife Ann; grandchildren Rusty Williams and wife Jenny, Nicole Stevens and husband Travis, Skipper Wilson, Rachele Williams, Jacob Williams, Callie Yandel; and several great- grandchildren.
