Robert Eugene Sherwin

Robert Eugene Sherwin (80) passed away on January 11, 2011. He was born on March 31, 1930 in Independence, Kansas to Irene Maud Peters and Richard Sherwin. The family moved to Seminole in the late thirties. After graduating from Seminole High School, Bob enlisted in the Army and served two terms in the Korean War. After returning from the war, he married Earleen Hicks and worked in the oil field for many years , eventually settling in Noble, Oklahoma. Bob had many passions in life which included his family, fishing and OU Football.

Bob is survived by Earleen Sherwin, of the home; 3 children and 4 grandchildren—Robert Eugene Sherwin, Jr., wife Debbie, son Brock of Owasso, OK and daughter Rachel Sherwin Cole and husband Dylan of Oklahoma City, OK; Lisa Sherwin of Dallas, TX; Earl Sherwin, wife Norma and children Justin and Shelby of Riverside, CA. He is also survived by his brother, Warren Sherwin and wife Von of Lafayette, LA, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14th at 10:30 at the Noble United Methodist Church under the direction of the Primrose Funeral Service. Interment will be held after the services at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
