

Todd was raised in Enid where, at a young age, he learned the art of radio and music, under the tutorage of his father at station KGWA, singing and writing jingles for their on air advertising segments. Later the family moved to Woodward where he graduated from Woodward High School with triumphant medals from the debate team and pursued music as his career. He moved to Norman in 1970, working at stations KNOR and WWLS, then performing on the road with such bands as Crossbow, Haskell Starbuck, Ground Speed and various other bands, touring throughout the United States. He settled in Norman and married the love of his life, Paula Kaye Martin of Norman on July 15th 1983. Their marriage celebrated 32 years this month.
Todd joined the work force at the University of Oklahoma Printing Services and Mail Department in 1999 and for 15 years loved working with the OU staff and students. He also enjoyed his Sooner Saturdays.
Todd was preceded in death by his father Lyle R. and John A. Gaston. Immediate survivors are his wife, Paula of Norman; mother, Gwyn Gaston of Tyler Texas; sisters, Suzie and husband Donald Skinner of Norman, Melissa and Buddy Davis of Tyler Texas; brother-in-law, Perry and wife Tara Martin of Norman; sisters-in-law, Janet and Bobby Green of Purcell, Norita and Wayne Testerman of Blanchard with many, many nieces, nephews and a large family of friends.
Services will 2:00 PM Friday at the Primrose Chapel. Visitation will be 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and Thursday.
