Deanna is lovingly remembered and forever cherished by her husband Jon Swiftwolfe; their children Dailyn and Adrianna; parents Darwin and Sarah; siblings Charlene (Quenton) Swiftwolfe, Rick (Michelle) Poitras, Conrad Poitras, and Jessica (Lee) Gardipy; godparents Tommy and Donna Lightfoot; parents-in-law Donna Swifwolfe and Leslie Moosomin; as well as noosim, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Deanna is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Alex and Victoria Poitras and maternal grandparents Richard and Cecile Gopher; Uncle and Aunt William and Verna Batary and Uncle Bert Gopher.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 12th 2016 from the Moosomin Community Hall with Band Elders officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial followed the funeral service at Ste. Rose de Lima Church in Cochin, with Fr. Frederick Akah as celebrant. Interment took place at Saulteaux Cemetery, Saulteaux First Nation.
