My condolences to everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing Erik. He was a kind, compassionate and extremely intelligent individual. He was also an amazingly talented writer and poet with a love for music, which is what almost all of our conversations consisted of. I always looked forward to catching up whenever I saw him.  Wise beyond his years with a fantastic sense of humour. He will be deeply missed. ❤️

Erik was one of the best humans.  Without fail, we always greeted each other with “I’m so happy to see you.”, and I knew that it was genuine as he cared for and respected  all who worked at One Roof. His presence filled a room and his smile shone with kindness and joy.  He was brilliant, compassionate and selfless, the week before he left us literally giving the shirt off his back to someone without.   I am honoured to have had known him, to have listened to his stories of Saskatchewan.  He was so proud of his family and heritage and loved them deeply.  I will miss him greatly as will all who knew this remarkable young man.

Erik was a  wonderful person with a brilliant mind..we spent many special times together and our family will miss him so..gone from this earth way too soon..rest in peace ..

Erik, who encompassed the Seven Grandfather Teachings—wisdom, love, respect, bravery, honesty, humility, and truth— had many roles in our lives: an artist, poet, brother, friend, and helper. His vibrant nature embraced a love for reading, writing, and sports, showcasing his many incredible talents and true passion for life's journey. His ability to see the goodness in every situation and his unwavering positivity touched countless lives, leaving an enduring legacy of inspiration and warmth in the hearts of all who knew him.

We remember Erik from cadets - 2537 NSaskR RCACC. He was a remarkable young man. He was dedicated to the program and to his friends. We loved having him out to visit. Little Poplar never left the building without stopping in at the office to say goodnight to the officers and staff.  He was a great friend to my oldest son. We were blessed to have you in our lives.  ❤️ The Heyden’s

I've known Erik for the past year. He was so smart, loved books and even wrote his own poetry. He was extremely funny too - loved a good lame dad joke. He will be deeply missed in the Kingston community.
