Mrs. Barbara Jean Varner Blewer, 74, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away at a local hospital on April 12, 2016. She was born in Charleston on August 14, 1941, and was the daughter of her late parents, Dennis M. Varner and Ruth Williams Varner.
Barbara is preceded in death by her sister, Gloria. Left behind to treasure her memory is her husband, Donnell V. Blewer; her son, Michael Blewer, of Larimore, ND; her daughter, Denise Blewer of Hanahan, SC (Darcie Lyon); grandchildren, Ashley Turner, Austin Blewer, and Amber Blewer; sister, Carole Bates (Jim); brother-in-law, Richard; and three great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Chicora High School in 1958. Her passions included gardening, camping, crossword puzzles, and her family.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Carolina Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00am. The family will greet friends the evening of Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at Carolina Funeral Home.
