Betty Hucks Garvin of Charleston entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2014 at her home. Betty was born in Marion, SC to Lonnie G. Powers, Sr. and Hattie Mae Powers. She was a retired seamstress. She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Garvin; two sons, Michael Richardson (Tammy) and Gerald Huckabee (Shelly); six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tina Allen and Betty Jean Hester; and one son, Bobby A. Richardson. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
