

Bobby was born on September 25, 1943 to the late Walter and Mary O’Steen in Douglas, GA.
He is survived by his beloved wife Aniece (Bird) O’Steen; sons Randy, Ron and Christopher; daughters Kimberly and Sherry. Brothers include James and Kenneth O’Steen.
Grandchildren include: Laniece, Bobby, Robert, Tatjana, Nattapon, Nayada, ‘Nam, James, Adrian, Alexis, Christopher, Madison, David, Kimberly, Rafael Bobby (BJ), London, and eleven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mickie (Michelle), as well as his brothers Joe Bryant and Lamar O’Steen.
He graduated from Atkinson County H.S. where he was voted most likely to succeed. He joined the US Air Force in July of 1961. During his service, he earned the following medals for Meritorious Service; Air Force Commendation; Small Arms Expert Rifle; Air Force Longevity Service Award; National Defense Service; Air Force Good Conduct Award, and Vietnam Service. He was an active-duty Personnel Superintendent for 26 years. During his tenure, he completed his Associates Degree from Webster University for Discipline and Human Relations. He also completed the Command NCO and SR NCO Academy courses.
During his military service he served in the following locations: Lackland AFB, TX; Pope AFB, SC; Vietnam; Moody AFB, GA; Ft. Rucker, AL; San Vito, Italy; Scott AFB, IL, and Charleston AFB, SC where Bobby retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He then served 18 years at the Naval Weapons Station as a Civil Service Security Officer.
His hobbies included gardening, fishing, golfing and bowling. The Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs were his favorite teams.
Bobby was a dearly loved husband, father, and precious Papa to his family and his absence will be felt every day.

The celebration of life, to include full military honors, will commence immediately following the visitation from 2pm-3pm.
