Hanahan, SC- In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Bryon Bouton Leatherwood, 22, of Hanahan, SC on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was the only son of Brian Scott Leatherwood (Cindy) of Hanahan and Mother, Barbara Jane Osburn (Jeffrey) of Moncks Corner. He was born on March 3, 1994 in Charleston, SC. His greatest joys in life were working out in the gym, making others smile, riding his motorcycles, giving great hugs (said all the girls) playing sports and watching football every Sunday with his friends at Carolina Ale House (Loved those Eagles!), lovingly joking with others and a proud Republican who loved what Donald Trump stood for as our President. Best known by his friends as Bryon with a “y”. Bryon was a graduate of Hanahan High School, and attending Trident Technical College with his eyes not yet truly focused on becoming a mechanical engineer. Bryon grew up working at Leatherwood Manufacturing where he earned a position in the estimating and purchasing department that he was enjoying. Known to many as “The Life of the Party” his tremendous circle of friends shared in the warm hugs and bright smile that were always a part of him. The family will be receiving visitors at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. A celebration of his beautiful life will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Highland Park Baptist Church in Hanahan, SC. with burial immediately following at Carolina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online to Charleston Animal Society, 843-747-4849 and/or Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) – [email protected]. Raised in a blended family his whole life he leaves behind many beautiful memories to be cherished by grandparents Merle Leatherwood, Mike and Linda Leatherwood, Bill and Kathy Warner, Rick and Elaine Wilson and Geneva Powell; step-sisters Miranda Hall, Misty Tucker, and Hanna Capps: step-brother, Lee Capps. Uncles include Gil Leatherwood (Angela), Jay Corbin, Richie (Lori) and Randy (Courtney) Corbin. Cousins Nick Leatherwood (Kayla), Ethan Leatherwood, Lauren Corbin McMillan, Brooke Hunter (Chad), Savannah, Blair, McKenzie and Kennedy Corbin. Six fur babies named Cocoa, Annie, Utoo, Missy and Rico and a cat named Bates will miss his play time. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting the website at www.carolinamemorial.com
