Charles then later worked for civil services as an OSHA inspector and safety manager at the Charleston and Goose Creek Naval Base for 14 ½ years. Charles was a member of Crowfield Baptist Church in Goose Creek, SC. When given the chance, he loved to have a good time and share in fellowship with his friends. He was also known to be a loyal Atlanta Braves fan. Charles never knew a stranger, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He was always willing to help whenever he could. He was a loyal and loving husband, father, and grandfather; he will be missed by many. Charles is now at peace with his wife in heaven.
A visitation will be held for family and friends on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 12-1PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service in the chapel starting at 1PM.
