

Hulya was born in Istanbul, Turkey on July 15, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Niyazi Sen and Azize Sen.
Hulya met and became engaged to her next door neighbor, Ralph H. Hudson. He was in the Air Force. They married in Germany and lived in New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Alaska and South Carolina where he retired and they lived until her death. Hulya continued to travel to Turkey in the summers to spend time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and would often go to Las Vegas to enjoy playing the slot machines in various hotel casinos. Hulya loved to shop and enjoyed time with her friends! She was a wonderful mother and Anne-Anne.
Hulya is survived by her daughters, Aileen Lord (Stephen) of Goose Creek,, SC, Pemra Williams (Jimmy) of North Charleston, SC, granddaughter Alexandra Smith (Michael) of Moncks Corner, SC, grandson Jordan Lord (Taylor) of Moncks Corner, SC.
She was preceded in death by her spouse Ralph H. Hudson.
A private funeral service and burial will be held July 14, 2020 at Carolina Memorial.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Charleston for taking such good care of her during her illness.
