

Katharine Peters Lamb ,93, of Hanahan, SC widow of Henry “Hank” Lamb, passed away at her home Monday evening, February 16, 2015. The family and friends of Katharine Lamb are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 12:00 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Katharine was born October 12, 1921 in Annapolis, MD to the late Otto and Isabelle Peters. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of N. Charleston, SC, and was a teacher at Holy Spirit Day school K-3 for over 15 years, and a telephone operator in Annapolis, MD. Katharine enjoyed bowling, crocheting, gardening, especially her vegetables and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by 4 daughters: Kay Vierra of Mt. Pleasant, SC,Linda Priester of Hanahan, SC, Deborah Engermann of Hanahan, SC and Elizabeth Bode of Bonneau, SC, seven grandchildren: Henry Hernandez, Dana Priester, Christine Engermann, Jason Engermann, Robert Engermann, Jessica West and Rebecca Browning, and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Hank Lamb and brother: James Peters. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Katharine Lamb’s honor to: St. Thomas Episcopal Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
