

Kenneth Thomas Cascone was born February 8th 1941 in Brooklyn, NY. His father was Anthony Louis Cascone, and his mother Providence Cascone, was Italian immigrant that arrived in America from Sicily at Ellis Island in 1921. He was raised in Huntington, NY. He attended high school at Stony Brook and graduated college at Yale University. He spent 6 years in the army reserves and later went to Columbia Law School where he graduated with a doctorate.
In college, Kenneth was sponsored by Yale to go to Ghana to write a paper on the apartheid, which turned into a small book. He ended up representing the Ghanaian government as a lawyer. In New York City, he formed a law firm Cascone, Cole, and Collier. Kenneth specialized in securities law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, a part of corporate law and later went on to help small businesses firms to get funding. Kenneth was a student of history and was very well versed in the American Revolution. He published a historical fiction book entitled The River of Triumph a story about a Native American who attended Yale University in the 1700’s, who became a physician and spy for the American government in the Revolution.
Kenneth retired from law in 2012 after spending a couple years working locally in his hometown of Newburgh, NY where he lived with his wife Charlotte, in close proximity to the Hudson River. In 2020, he bought a home in Summerville, SC with his family to be closer to his son. On March 18th 2022 Kenneth passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Cascone, his son Colton Cascone and daughter and law Jenny Upayacu Cascone. He was known by his friends for his ability to network and bring people together. One of his favorite epic poems is entitled Hiawatha, written about a leader of the Mohawk tribe, who is attributed to uniting five tribes to form the Iroquois Confederacy or the 6 nations.
A graveside services at dorchester memory gardens for Kenneth will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
