predeceased by his parents, Claudine and Kathryn.
He is survived by his brother William Mixon (Jane), his wife of 52 years, Debbie, his children Michael Mixon, Jackie Valastin (Joe), Katie Christly (Matt), his grandchildren Camden, Carter, and Owen, and his brother-in-law DeWayne Cox.
Larry was born on September 25, 1950 in Atmore, Alabama. He grew up in Pensacola, Florida,
which is where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Debbie. After serving three
years in the U.S. Air Force, Larry and Debbie settled down in Charleston, SC. There, they raised
their three children. Larry worked for the U.S. Government for 40+ years. He was a man who
knew a little about a lot of things and was willing to help anyone he could. His favorite pastime
was researching family genealogy. He loved going to SC Stingray hockey games with Debbie.
Larry will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
