Douglas was born March 2, 1934 to the late Lawrence R. and Wilma Green in Big Sandy, WV.
He is survived by his second wife Wanda Hampton Green. Beloved children James E. Green (Gwen) of Ceres, VA, Kathy Ann Carter (Randy) of N Tazewell, VA and David R Green (Angie) of Hanahan, SC. His loving grandchildren Brad Carter (Lisa) of Eldersburg, MD, Nicole Bruce (Andy) of Ceres, VA, Jamie Green (Amanda) of Wytheville, VA, Taylor Russell (Ronnie) of Bonneau, SC, Morgan Bouknight (Cody) of Pomaria, SC, Megan Green of Hanahan, SC. His great grandchildren Ethan Bruce, Nick Green, Ellia Carter, Cayden Carter, and Ava Green. Cherished by brothers Jim Green, Danny Green, and sisters, Jewel McCall, Brenda Allen, and Janis Jones. Along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Catherine Green, his parents Lawrence and Wilma Green, brother David Green, and grandson Dylan R Green.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
