Leslye Diane Smith

Leslye Diane Smith 59, Wife, Mother, Grandmother passed away on 17 November 2022 after a long battle with diabetes and other health conditions which, ultimately lead to congestive heart failure.

She was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She was adopted a few weeks old by Harold Corbett and Miriam Alphill Shumpert. She was joined to the family by her adopted brother Lynn Douglas Shumpert. Mom and Dad had a Christ like love for us all. We truly were blessed with Godly parents. Leslye married Shannon Smith on 8 April 2000. Shannon and Leslye were married and lived in Summerville, South Carolina for 22 years. Leslye has returned home to be with her Savior and her parents who have proceeded her in death. She is at peace and is experiencing the endless love of the eternities until, the resurrection. Leslye was so kindhearted, fun loving, and had an amazing work ethic. Kira had the opportunity of being with her the last week of her life and was at her bedside providing love, encouragement and support until she took her final breathe and crossed the veil into eternity. She is survived by her husband Shannon Smith; loving daughter Kira Roszel (Jacksonville, Fl); Brother Lynn Douglas Shumpert, Nanci (Provo, UT); two granddaughters Mackenzie and Madison Roszel (Jacksonville, Fl); three nephews Bradley Lynn Shumpert (Whitney) Lehi, UT; Ryan Lynn Shumpert (Ciera) Sandy, UT); Stephen Douglas Shumpert (Katie) San Diego, CA; niece Holly Elyse Cloward (Tyler) Lindon, Ut; Mother-in-law, Betty Bellew Smith (Charleston, SC), Aunt Mary Jo Smith, who willing help prove loving care & support or the last 2 years of her life (Eutawville, SC).

Funeral Services are under the direction of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home 7113 Rivers Ave North Charleston, SC. The family invites friends for a viewing on 29 November 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held on 29 November 2022 at 11:00 AM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home 7113 Rivers Ave North Charleston, SC 29406.
