Linda Gayle Peets

Linda was born August 12, 1946 to the late Claude L. and Velois R. Hodges in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

She is survived by her sons: William (Will) Dennis Peets (Susan), Dewayne (Dewey) Lynn Peets and Anthony (Tony) Allen Peets (Cathy). Her sister, Debra Elaine Matthes.

She is predeceased her husband, Lynn Augustus Peets. Her brother, Walton D. Hodges.

Linda was a school teacher for over 40 years. She graduated from Berkeley High School in 1965. She then went to Trident Tech and finished her Bachalor’s degree at the College of Charleston. Linda received a Masters at the Citadel. She taught at Sedgefield Middle, Berkeley Middle, Berkeley Alternative, Country Day, Faith Baptist and Fort Dorchester High. Linda loved to shop. She loved her family. Linda will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday July 16, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406 from 10:00am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the chapel. The Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
