Marie Juliette Haynes

Marie Juliette Cecile Girard Haynes, 89, of Summerville, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 20, 2019. She was born November 21, 1929, in Hartford, CT, to the late Jules and Exelina Girard.

Julie was a registered nurse for 40 years, working at Undercliff State Hospital in Meriden, CT and at Charleston Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by two sisters, Diane Herget, of Meriden, CT, and Claudette (Tom) Beamesderfer, of York, PA, her six children, Barbara Brown, of Summerville, William (Beth) Haynes, of Charleston, Aline (Perry) Greene, of Charleston, Susan (Rick) Brewster, of Pensacola, FL., David (Frannie) Haynes, of Orlando, FL., and John (Jackie) Haynes of Meriden, CT., nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Norman Girard.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at 10:00 am at Carolina Memorial Park, entombment will follow in the Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. Following all services, the family will return to the funeral home and accept guests for a small reception. The family will receive guest at other times at 313 Regent Street, in Summerville.
