I just learned today that our best friend who we called "Mom" passed away back in January. Mike and I are absolutely devastated over the loss of this wonderful woman. I don't have the words to describe how truly beautiful she was inside and out but she loved like crazy and we were blessed to be a part of her life. Mike met her long before I did and he took me to her house on our second date to meet his "step parents." He needed to get Mom's approval and she welcomed me the second I walked through the door. She always called me "her sweet angel" but in reality she was ours. She supported and loved us over the years through all the tough times. We were there to help when Scotty passed away and sat in that hospital room and she played a song for him over and over again. She sadly lost her other son Gregg who Mike considered to be a brother. Her husband Lipp was also a huge part of our lives and whom we will not forget.  We mourned all three together. Marilyn would often open her house to us and offered anything we needed at any time. She and Lipp took care of Mike after both of his heart attacks and she was there supporting us at the hospital when I had back surgery. Mike often house sat for them and took care of their animals. She made sure our wedding was extra special. 

Marilyn had the biggest heart and loved God so deeply that I know she is now resting with him and her family. With tears in my eyes as I'm typing this I just wish I could hear her voice one more time. God bless you Mom <3


To my friend Marilyn:

I am going to miss you so much.  We first met in Bear Valley Springs. CA in 1992.  My husband and I met you and your husband Lipp, and we become fast friends.  You were always gracious, funny and charming.  You always hosted the best parties. 

I especially enjoyed our talks about family:  children and grandchildren.  You loved you family as fiercely as did I.

Your kindness extended to our family when you frequented my grandsons performances in "Annie" & "Wizard of Oz" & "Grease".

I will miss your smile, wit and the sparkle in your eyes!  I will miss you so much!

I am so sorry for the family's loss.  She was a gem!

My Beautiful Aunt Marilyn,
How I will miss our chats. Your positivity even in the worst of situations made you even more spectacular to me than I already felt about you. Your kindness and that uncanny ability to make each and every relative or friend feel like they were the only one, the special one that had your love and admiration. I know we are all reeling from the pain of losing you so unexpectedly. You never complained no matter how much pain you were in... "oh I'm doing fine, it's just a little bump in the road..." Such a classy, beautiful, tiny tiny statured woman with a giant heart. You had so much love in your heart for
G-d, family, friends, the downtrodden, that it eventually took it's toll on your heart. I pray you are dancing one again with your beloved Lipp, whom you spoke of with so much love and hugging your boys once again.  I miss you Auntie. Jimmy and I feel somewhat lost and in such a state of shock. We will always love you with all of our heart! Fly with the angels my precious Aunt.  Loving you always

Cory, called me and told me. Just like you wanted/expected/asked. I wasn’t ready, but felt this day coming.  We talked only day’s ago, and now for the last time. Like always, you sounded vibrant, positive, and happy. You, like me, was not finished with this thing they call life. You had plans, goals and aspirations. I have no doubt, that this was just as unexpected to you, as it was for me. Maybe, while you were under sedation, or in a different realm. Papa, on his Birthday. Was able to find you in his arms again. To me that’s the only thing that makes sense. Knowing, and seeing the love you guys had for each was profound. Your passing only provides more prof that love conquers all. Papa again, is the luckiest man in world. I was the 2nd luckiest man, having the two of you as grandparents. I will love you forever.

I am so thankful for the time that Michael & I got to have with you and Joe. So many memories with a beautiful amazing lady, you will always be in our  hearts. We love you sweet precious Marilyn,  until we meet again!

Dedicated, loving wife, mother, relative, friend. Multi faceted, multi talented. Full of life, exuberance, energy, charm - able to make anyone, strangers included feel at ease and welcome whether at home or out and about.  She had an astute knack for language whether it be witty conversation, writing, or her great love of reading. Hospitality and entertaining were another of her joys, creating and celebrating many special events and holidays over the years. Most of all she would want us to remember the good, happy times - to treasure and carry those joyful, special memories in our hearts now and in the future. Condolences, comfort and peace to one and all.

Dear Marilyn,
Life on earth is so short. We should never spend any of the precious time we have been given on negative actions but we all do.  It is part of our sin nature here on earth and it cannot be avoided but it can be forgiven. I did leave you messages over the past years stating my attempt to resolve our disagreements and although you never responded, my prayer to God for us never changed. "Jesus, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."
You did love my Dad and for that I am grateful.
