Robert M Brodeur

Mr. Robert Maurice Brodeur, 64, of Beaufort, SC, passed away on March 22, 2017. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the chapel of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends in visitation an hour prior to the service. Robert was born on October 23, 1952 in Chelsea, MA, to his parents, Maurice J. “Frenchy” Brodeur and Lillian Gross Brodeur. He graduated from Garrett High School and attended The College of Charleston. He retired from Government Service with The Department of Defense, and worked in Charleston, SC, Naples, Italy, and Parris Island in Beaufort, SC. He was known to be an avid athlete who enjoyed sailing, running, and triathlons, which lead to his long lasting interest in cycling. He also loved photography, the outdoors, and animals, and his faithful feline companion, Blaze. Left behind to share and cherish his memory is his loving family; a sister, Paulette Brodeur Wren of Columbia, SC; aunts, Rita Brodeur Hellyer of Union City, PA, Lucy Brodeur New of Moncks Corner, SC, Rita Brodeur of RI, Kay Gross Rousseau (Ray) of Hawley, PA; nephews, Jason Williams (Angie) of Lexington, SC, Bryan Williams (Susie) of Savannah, GA, Barrett Williams of Columbia, SC; great nephews, Bryce, Chase, Landon, and Peyton Williams, all of Savannah, GA; and numerous cousins.
