Rolando L Remigio

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rolando Lirio Remigio, a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, who passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Born to Augusto Kalakas Remigio and Rosario Lirio Remigio, Rolando was raised in the Philippines and graduated from St. John Academy of Calamba, Laguna. He later built a life centered on hard work and care for his family, spending his professional years as a metalworking machine operator before retiring.

Rolando will be remembered for his caring, generous, and compassionate nature. Whether it was offering a warm smile, helping hand, or a good story, his presence always brought comfort and kindness to those around him.

He had a deep love for basketball—both the NBA and college teams—and one of his happiest memories was attending a live NBA game at Madison Square Garden. He also found great joy in simple pleasures, like fishing and crabbing. Even if he didn’t catch a thing, he cherished the peacefulness and fun of the experience. He especially loved wandering flea markets, always on the lookout for a good bargain or a hidden treasure.

Rolando is survived by his loving wife, Corazon Remigio; his children, Cheryl Bautista and Erwin Remigio; his grandchildren, Charmaine Bautista, Mario Bautista Jr., and Marvin Bautista; and his great-grandchildren, Amiyah Johnson and Layla Johnson. He also leaves behind his sons-in-law, Mario Bautista Sr. and Shawn Bolick, who were dear to him.

Rolando's legacy of love, humor, and generosity will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always.

A visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29406, on Wednesday July 16, 2025 from 6PM-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 510 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445, with the burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29406.
