Ruth Mathias

Ruth is survived by her daughters Catherine Alexander and Lindsey Mathias; her son in-laws David Alexander and Brian Moorer; her grandsons Damien Frangos and David "Alex" Alexander Jr.; her sister Elena Knighton (Roy); and her nephew Christopher Knighton(Harriet).

Ruth had a sassy personality and a passion for helping others. She often volunteered to help the homeless and she created youth groups for troubled children. Ruth had a great sense of humor. She was a lover and collector of shoes and hats and was a member of Hat Ladies Of Charleston. She She will be forever loved and missed by those she knew.

There will be a Catholic Mass service for Ruth held on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St. Johns Catholic Church at 3921 St. Johns Avenue Charleston, South Carolina 29405. The burial and committal will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 7113 Rivers Avenue North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
