Sharon Zey Hodge

Sharon Elise Carson was born to John Paul Carson, Jr. and Judy Carson on March 29, 1963 in Charleston, SC. She graduated from North Charleston High School and obtained an Associate in Accounting degree from Trident Technical College. She was an employee of the Social Security Administration, Charleston Branch for over 20 years. Sharon was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was involved in the children’s ministry program. She was an avid Washington Redskins and Atlanta Braves fan.

Sharon was loved by so many people and is survived by her parents John Paul Carson, Jr. (Renee) and Judy Carson (Jack); her son, Dustin Thomas Zey; her step-son, Pete Hodge (Tina), her twin sister, Karen Galloway (Mike); three additional sisters, Hillary Bowers (Jack), Tessa Baxter, Maryalice Mamaril (Marvin); nieces and nephews, Amber Charlton (Jason), Brandon Voss, Phoebe Jones, Gracie Rose, Lucas, and McKayla; a great-nephew, Kayden; and a great-niece, Tara Elise.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Zey and George Hodge and her brother, John “Daniel” Carson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Cornerstone Baptist Church with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
