Vivian Jeanette Stokes

Vivian was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, working in her home, entertaining guest, but she most enjoyed spending time and caring for her grandchildren. She was a co-founder of Stokes Automotive Inc. and worked in the business from 1964-2009. She was a member of Northwood Church at Carnes.

She is survived by her husband Edward Stokes Sr.; her children Edwina Seyle (Marion) and Eddie Stokes Jr (Susan); her grandchildren, Heather Putney (David), Ed Seyle (Heather), Vivian Tremaine (Noah), Madalyn Stokes, and Wes Stokes; her five great grandchildren, Libby Putney, Hayden Seyle, Lainey Seyle, Emery Tremaine, and Lily Tremaine.

She is predeceased by her mother and father, and two brothers, Brunson Fox and Neal Courtney.

We would like to thank all the staff of the Low Country Community Hospice House of Summerville for the wonderful care they provided.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Low Country Community Hospice House of Summerville.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Northwood Church at Carnes. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow. Interment will be held at the family home. Social distancing and mask are encouraged.
