

Zelda G. Housand, daughter of the late George M. Huggins II and Louise J. Huggins, peacefully passed away on June 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Galivants Ferry, SC,
Zelda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
She is survived by her sibling, George M. Huggins III, and Jennie Lee Hunter.
Zelda is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Housand; her sister, Margie H. LaPorte; her brother, Curtis Melvin Huggins; daughters: Judy Lynn Hayes, and Donna Louise Housand; and son-in-law, Tim Will and her granddaughter, Tiffany A. Mussall Tupper.
Zelda will be lovingly remembered by her children Richard Mussall Jr. (Barbara), Mark Housand (Debbie), Betty Will, and son-in-law Ray Hayes. She was a devoted grandmother to Sarah (Trey), Matthew (Victoria), Jenna (Giles), R.J. (Kelsey), Stephanie (John), Matthew, Landon, and Tabatha, and a proud great-grandmother to Kira, Rheya, Shelby, Jebbie, Malachi, Kayden, Braylon, Ellyson, Emmersyn, Brandon, and Grayson.
Zelda cherished her time fishing and painting alongside her sisters and engaging in spirited debates with her brother. She had a deep love for her children and great-grandchildren and found joy tending to her flowers and watching birds.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a chapel memorial service at 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406.
Zelda G. Housand's life touched many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
