Carlos Alberto Mejia, 90 years old, of North Hollywood, CA. "Chale" passed away on June 26, 2026 after suffering two strokes in December 2025. He battled for six months, but eventually his body was too weak and he developed pneumonia. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by wife of 68 years, Maria, and his five children, Yamillet, Haydee, Carlos, Xiomara, and Bernard. He was Abuelito ("Wito") to Jessica, Jennifer, and Brynn. He had four great-grandchildren, Aurora, Rian, Sofia, and Ascher. He was "Tio Chale" or "Chalito" to so many nieces and nephews who loved him like a second father.
His generosity of spirit and love will be forever missed. May he rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord, until we can hug him again. We love you papá!
