Cecilia Bautista Ricafort

Cecilia “Cecing” Bautista Ricafort was born on September 18, 1926 to Jose Bautista Sr. and Annette Eggers in Manila, Philippines. She was the second of six siblings - Andrea, Jose Jr., Victorino, Robert, and Antoinette. Married to Ramon Ricafort in 1958 and was blessed with three sons – Ramon Jr, Robert Michael, and Richard; further blessed with daughters-in-law Divina, Cialita, and Elvira; and seven grandchildren – Raymond, Robert Michael Benedict, Ramon III, Carmela Gabrielle, Cecilia Anne, Raphael, and Ronald Ernest. She was lovingly called “Mommy Chiching” by close family.

Cecilia migrated to California, USA in 2004, long after being retired from a teaching career in her hometown in Montalban, Rizal, Philippines. In Montalban, she worked as an elementary school teacher and a librarian. She was widowed when our father, Ramon Sr, passed away in 1967 after which she continued to support our family in her simple and humble ways. She came here to the US to be close to us and our families while being able to travel back home to the Philippines to be with Mike and family. During the last years of her life, she fervently offered prayers for her children, family, and others in need of help.

We love you Mommy! We thank God for keeping you our mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend in our lives. You will dearly be missed until we meet again.

THE RICAFORT FAMILY

A visitation for Cecilia will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church. A graveside service will occur Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
