

Crystal Lynette Williams
Crystal Lynette Williams, 51, of Los Angeles, California, departed to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. Crystal was born to Bobby Freeman and Jan Williams on January 22, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois. Five years after graduating from Proviso West High School, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she earned her degree in nursing, working in various capacities and hospitals. In her final years, she worked as the activities coordinator and special projects assistant at Pledgerville Senior Citizens Villa, Inc.
She was a proud member of Mount Zion Baptist Church for over 22 years, serving in the music ministry, women’s ministry, and children’s ministry. She also served as a Sunday school teacher and vocational Bible school teacher, where she filled everyone’s hearts with words from the Lord. She was known for making everyone laugh with her Mother May character while performing skits exhorting church members about church etiquette and Christian love.
She enjoyed singing, dancing, acting, writing, decorating, coordinating events, and most of all, serving the Lord. She will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, laughter, and willingness to go above and beyond for others.
Crystal was blessed with a loving family. She married her husband and friend Quincy Wilson on July 31, 2004 in Los Angeles, California, where together they raised four children and grandson Carnell Ferguson. To her family, she truly exemplified a Proverbs 31 woman, full of strength, dignity, wisdom, and love.
She is survived by her husband, Quincy Wilson; her children, Knikita (Michael) Young, Jorhan (Ilona) Ferguson, Chiquita (Sheldon) Smith, and Heaven Wilson; grandchildren, Carnell, Nevaeh, Janelle, Aliya, Xavier, Jeremiah, Jarell, and Matthew; parents, Bobby Freeman and Jan Williams; siblings, Stephan Williams, Eric Williams, Tiffany Williams, Jermaine Williams, Bobby Freeman Jr., Deitrick Tucker, and Tusonah Birmingham. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Crystal was preceded in death by her grandparents, Levearn Freeman, Jesse Daniels, Otis Williams, and Lorine Williams. As well as her brother, Alavester Williams.
