Born in Medellín, Colombia, Elena lived a full and beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and love. She came to California with dreams of building a better life, and through hard work, creativity, and perseverance, she did just that. From her early days as a small business owner to her many years as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Elena’s life was defined by generosity, kindness, and grace.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, she found joy in the simple things — morning prayers, the aroma of fresh coffee, and the family gathered around her kitchen table. Her home was always filled with warmth and the comforting smell of her cooking — whether it was a pot of soup simmering on the stove or a tray of chocolate chip cookies or banana bread cooling on the counter. She loved sharing meals, and always reminding others that love and faith were the most important.
Elena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mario, who passed in 1986. She is survived by her children, Marta, Maria, Carlos, and Walter, as well as her cherished grandchildren, who will miss her deeply and carry her spirit in their hearts until they meet again.
