My name is Elga Safarian. My real name is Olga but due to migration and misspelling of my name in my passport l became Elga. You all know me as Nono, the nickname that I grew up with.I was born in Tehran on September 9, 1938. My parents Tatiana Badalian and Ashot Safarian both were born in Russia . On October 13, 1960 I married the love of my life, Ali Salehi. The fruits of our love are Leslie, Silva and Sam. They gave me six beautiful grandkids, Shariar, Negar, Tania, Nicholas, Hope and Emma.
I had three siblings who I loved so much. Due to a horrible revolution in my country we all got separated . My brother Serj left us too soon and died in Paris. My sister Irene left this world five years ago in Iran and my youngest sister Mimi passed away at a young age due to cancer. I was the last of my family to leave this world on November 20, 2021.I am gone to be with all the people that I loved forever.
Please don’t cry for me or be sad for my departure. I Will always be with you all . Look up and and smile as I am doing the same from up here.
