To the family of my dear friend, 
      It is with great sadness that I recently learned of her home going.  We met at Bethune Junior High in 1969 and stayed in touch after I moved to Louisiana.  Jeannie was so informed about everything and, I loved our discussions of books that my book club was reading.   
        May loving memories of my wonderful friend continue to bring you peace and comfort.

Sincere condolences to all who grieve the transition of this ingratiating sprite. The body might get weary but the spark of light and mischievous wit, representing her curiosity and zest for learning has touched so many. To Marian, Karina and Danny, may your memories be a blessing. To the “Washington” girls and Asa, Jeanne and I shared the earthly departure of a father and brother in the Spring of 1990.  Grieving is such sweet sorrow and love never dies. May you find comfort knowing that her journey home is accelerated by the love and devotion of all. Well done, dear Jeannie. Rest in Perfect peace.

Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time. I hope it brings you comfort to know that I am celebrating the life Jeannie lived and am thankful for her impact on my life.
