John Milton Cotledge

He united in marriage to Frankie Delamar and moved to Los Angeles, California to nurture their beautiful family of five children. He later married Genartha Nolan who preceded him in death. John was an employee of The Boeing Company in Long Beach, California where he retired after 29 years of service.

In his 92nd season of life, John passed away in his sleep into eternity on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Four Seasons Healthcare & Wellness Center. He is preceded in death by his his wife, Genartha Cotledge, his parents, Hosea and Ilind Cotledge, One daughter Diana Lavender, Ten sisters, Corsicana, Georgia, Pearl, Evelyn, Catherine, Mildred, Odie, Desiree, Ilind and Hattie; four brothers, Julius, Wilber, Hosea and Paul.

John leaves to cherish four children: Jackie (Deborah) Cotledge of Arkadelphia, AR, John Douglas of Lancaster, CA; Connie (Leon) Thomas of Burbank, CA, Tony Cotledge Plummer (Eleanor) of Carson, CA; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Visitation & Service will be held at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, US, on March 28, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
