Jose Manuel Avendano Cruz

February 4th, 1963 – August 13th, 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jose Manuel Avendaño Cruz, who left us on August 13th, 2025 at the age of 62.

A man of integrity and encouraged by the spirit of adventure, Jose immigrated to California as a native from Asuncion Nochixtlan, Mexico. Los Angeles, California is where he became the man we loved, cherished and now, unfortunately, miss dearly. Jose wedded, begot two children, and raised three children. It was from this chapter of his life that we had the gift of experiencing Jose's irresistible charm, remarkable wit, contagious sense of humor, and insightful lessons of wisdom.

While Jose worked as a shipping and receiving clerk, he found joy in watching crime dramas and actions films, riding his bicycle, dancing, smelling fragrances, and most of all, in spending time with his family. Family was of the utmost importance to Jose.

Jose is survived by his wife, Rosa; his three children, Kevin, Jose, and Loly; and his grandchild, Elijah.

A celebration of Jose’s life will be held on August 29th, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share memories.

Jose Manuel Avendaño Cruz will be eternally missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who had the privilege of feeling his love of life.

A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
