

Ofelia Sandoval Saucedo was born in the countryside of Colima, Mexico, in the small town of El Rincón de López. She was one of 14 siblings, the beloved daughter of Genoveva Saucedo and Librado Sandoval. Her childhood was filled with joyful memories of running freely through the fields and swimming in the local river behind her home.
As she grew up, Ofelia's charm, compassion, and leadership led her to become the town’s Queen. In this esteemed role, she supported various initiatives and sponsored community groups, leaving a profound legacy. Her influence made her a well-known and respected figure in El Rincón de López, setting high expectations for those who followed in her footsteps. True to her nature, Ofelia left her unique “Grano de Arena” wherever she went a symbol of her lasting impact.
Later in life, Ofelia moved to Los Angeles, California, settling in the San Fernando Valley with her sister, Maira de Jesús (fondly known as “Chuya”), her brother Salvador Sandoval, and her cousin Juan (“Primo Juan”). In California, she met the love of her life, Rodolfo S. Gomez. Together, they built a life and raised three children: Lesley, their eldest, Rudolph, their second child, and Chelsea, their youngest.
Ofelia dedicated her entire life to her family, making countless sacrifices to provide them with better opportunities. Her unwavering focus and hard work ensured that her children could pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. Through her legacy of love, resilience, and determination, Ofelia's life continues to inspire her family and community touching hundreds throughout her lifetime as her legacy still continues on.
A visitation for Ofelia will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606. A prayer service/funeral liturgy will occur Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A visitation will occur Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
