Ricardo Antonio Barrera Lopez passed away in the early morning of July 20, 2022 at age 76. Ricardo was born on in Jutiapa, Guatemala, Central America. Throughout the progression of his illness, Ricardo was an inspiration to those around him; brave and courageous. He loved his family and friends.
His interests included all things wood, the carpentry business, western movies, friends and family. In his younger years he sang baritone at church, laid the foundation for many new churches, and helped lead many people to Jesus Christ. In his later years, Ricardo was proud to be a finish carpenter and entrepreneur.
Ricardo was preceded in death by his mother Juana Francisca Lopez Cortez. He is survived by his son Luis Antonio Barrera Recinos, his daughters Esther Abigail Barrera Recinos and Iris Barrera Daily, his sister Elvia Rosa Barrera Lopez, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.
The family wishes to thank Ricardo’s caregivers and advocates for their outpouring of love and support during the last few years of Ricardo’s life. The well of prayers, thoughtful acts, and kindness, brought much comfort to Ricardo and his family.
