Sostenes Dominguez Regalado

Sostenes Dominguez Regalado also known as Sonny Regalado, age 83, of Los Angeles, California passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, May 16, 2021, after his long battle with COPD. Born in the Philippines on November 28, 1937, he was the only son of late Alejandro Regalado and Theodora Dominguez. He was a very unselfish person who touched and helped many lives. He was a loving father, the sweetest, funniest, forgiving, and accepting man anyone could ever meet. He loved the Lord and he was very kind no matter what the situation.

In 1964, Sonny married Edith Sabater and had five children. In 1984, he migrated to the United States and lived in Texas with his mother, half-brother and his family. After spending a short amount of time there, he moved to Los Angeles and spent his time working and building his security company.

Sonny served in Christ the King Curcillo House and he was a member of Knight of Columbus in the Philippines. He had a passion for reading scriptures. He always had a book or a bible, a pen and paper by his side to write his annotations and resources. He enjoyed cooking, playing chess, watching basketball, football, and the news. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Sonny is survived by his four children, Marites, Regina, Francis of Los Angeles, and Jhun-jhun of Tagaytay, Philippines; his ten grandchildren, Damien, Kevin, Kat-kat, Rene`, Kylie, Faith, Darin, Zach, Dilan, and Dustin; his half-brothers Mel and Roger, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. Sonny's parents, grandparents, and his eldest son Alejandro S. Regalado preceded him in death.

A visitation for Sostenes will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pierce Brothers, 10621 Victory Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91606.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by Graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Pierce Brothers, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
