

Arlene Tubis – beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, aunt and treasured friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11 at 11:30 am at the Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel located at 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068
Born on October 9, 1947 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Arlene was the daughter of Harry and Fannie Arons.
She was affectionately known as Auntie Tulips and at one time, Queen of her Red Hat Society chapter, a nod to her vibrant personality and love of dressing in purple and red. Arlene had a heart of gold – she found pure joy in doing for others, always ready to lend a hand, offer a kind word or brighten someone’s day with her signature warmth and humor. Giving wasn’t just something she did – it was who she was.
Arlene was married to Michael Tubis, her loving partner for 32 wonderful years. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Shari Pitman and a deeply loyal sister to Marilyn Cohn and Estelle Lourie, all who predeceased her. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Marvin Lourie, niece Amy Rein, nephews Mitchell Rein and Douglas Holland, grand-nieces and nephews, Katelyn and Mike Kelly and Jennifer, her stepson Andy Tubis and daughter-in-law Mari Mishaan.
Arlene’s circle of friends was a second family – an extraordinary group who share life’s laughter and tears with her. She loved them with all her heart, and they stood by her with unwavering support, especially during these past difficult months.
