Audrey Altman passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, after a short illness. Audrey was 92 years old and was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons Robert (and his wife Fern) and Steven, her daughter Jody (and her husband Charles), her grandchildren Brian (and his wife Jessica), Sam, Alli, and her great-grandson Levi.
Audrey grew up at the Jersey Shore. Her mother, Rose, passed away when she was very young, and she and her brother Milton were raised by their father, Abraham, and their sister, Bernice.
Audrey was married to her loving husband, Marty, who passed away 10 years ago. They lived many years at the Jersey shore, and Audrey loved going to the beach and basking in the sun with her children. Audrey and Marty moved to Levittown, PA, which was her favorite house ever with its beautiful garden. Later, the family relocated to Horseheads, NY, and Audrey hit the ground running. She was an active member of the Jewish community. She hosted regular dinner parties and dazzled her friends with her exceptional culinary skills. Audrey and Marty loved to attend local auctions and picked up many a treasure, including a piano she bought for $15 (much to her husband's dismay) and had it refurbished. She found her way into a local Euchre game and enjoyed it immensely. Audrey and Marty moved to Florida in the early 1980s and shared a beautiful life with their children and grandchildren. They traveled extensively, and when they were home, they enjoyed many an early bird special.
After Marty passed away, Audrey relocated to assisted living at the Court of Palm Aire. She loved the library, devouring book after book. She attended concerts at the Court and loved the oldies. The dining room was always a treat, and ice cream became a favorite dessert.
Audrey lived her 92 years to the fullest. She was loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
