We are sorry and saddened to inform you of the passing of Barbara Frances Rogell Berkowitz, born January 17, 1934 in New Haven, Connecticut. She died peacefully on February 9, 2024 in Tamarac, Florida.
Daughter of Ethel and Albert Rosenfeld, she is survived by her sons, Jerald and Steven Berkowitz.
A strong and feisty woman, she was always focused on caring for those around her. When the going got tough, she rose to the occasion countless times to be the strength of those who needed support. She lost her husband, Milton Berkowitz in 1981 at the age of 51, yet raised her sons in traditional Jewish values and culture.
Funeral services will be held at 2:45pm at Star of David Memorial Gardens, Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, Florida, 33068. Following the services Shiva will be held Monday Tuesday Wednesday from 2-7 pm.
