Edmund is survived by his loving wife Zena Horowitz (née Besmertnik) with whom he was married for over 60 years; his son Gregory Horowitz (and daughter in law Wendi); his daughter Lauren Deur (and son in law Tomislav); his four beloved grandchildren Jared and Julia Horowitz, and Dylan and Maya Deur; his brothers Gerald and Philip (Lola) Horowitz; his first cousin Sheila Feldman (Robert); and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Selma and Benjamin Horowitz as well as his first cousin Harvey Brody and sister in law Cecilia. He was a long-time resident of Valencia Shores in Lake Worth, Florida after living in Coral Springs, Florida for over two decades.
Edmund was a graduate of Tilden High School in Brooklyn, New York, attended Baruch School of Business in New York City, and served in the U.S. Army as an officer following ROTC training in college. He was an entrepreneur who enjoyed traveling around the world for both business and pleasure. Edmund also served for many years as an executive board member of the Valencia Shores Men’s Club and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Jason Taylor Foundation and Miami Dolphins.

Edmund’s family will be sitting shiva in the private room at the Star of David Funeral Chapel at 7701 Bailey Road in North Lauderdale directly following the funeral and burial services on Sunday, November 9th. They also will be sitting shiva and celebrating Edmund’s life on Monday, November 10th from 12 pm to 4 pm at the private room in Flakowitz Restaurant of Boynton Beach at 7410 West Boynton Beach Boulevard.
