Sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He and I were best friends when we were just kids growing up on Louvaine Drive.

God Rest your soul Fred, you were a very giving man and also a very insightful person. We will miss that smile on your face and your mischief grin.  You are in a better place now.  Andy and I will always remember you in our prayers.

I will sadly miss Fred, we spent almost 27 years of our lives together and remained good friends for the last 15 years. Whenever things got tough I always had my rock, Fred, to lean on.  I've now lost my rock and it really scares me! I am comforted by the fact that he is no longer suffering but I am selfishly saddened that he left us. RIP my soul mate!

I have been friends with Fred since 1970 when he got in the business in WNY. He broke in with some very good horseman and picked up a lot of good moves that served him well through the years.Fred you were a good friend and a good horseman and will be truly missed.

 Fred was a good person .  I knew him since 87 ,we were good friends and never did he do anyone any harm .  All he wanted to do was win races . You never seem a person strut down the paddock with a bigger grin after a win .
   Fred told me he was  sick last spring  before he went to toiga  . but he wanted to go .   he said to me    I WANT TO SHOW EVERYONE I,VE STILL GOT IT ONE MORE TIME  . Although we didn't always see eye-to-eye on things, he always impressed me with how bouncy and upbeat he was about his horses and about racing.  He will be remembered, as I am sure he would want, as a true horseman.  RIP Fred

Harness Racing and his friends lost a good man. Rest in peace friend.

fred was the type of person that would give when he didnt have. he was a person you could trust,and rely on. I admired fred for his ability as a horseman, but also the character and type of man that would tell it to you strait up. he was definitly old school. fred will be missed by many.                your friend mike richards
