

Harvey Marvin Ellenthal, 95, of Tamarac, FL, formerly of New York, passed away June 15, 2024. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Barbara, his loving sons Steve(Barbara) and Corey(Rumi), dear grandsons Josh and Adam(Allie), and the apple of his eye, his great granddaughter, Diana. Harvey is also survived by his brother, Ira(Judy), his brother in law Mel(Lee) Schuster, and up until a few months ago, his sister, Shirley Schrenzel, who sadly passed on before him and is also laid to rest at Star of David Memorial Gardens.
Harvey worked for the NY Post for 38 years as the Circulation Operations Manager. He then went on to work for the company that introduced the NY State Lottery and held the position of Director of Sales and Games Management Services. Harvey proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. Enlisting
at just 17 years of age, he served in the Mediterranean at the end of WW2 before being called back into active service as a combat veteran of the Korean War where he served as a squad leader with w/3/5, 1st Marine Division.
With a deep desire to continue to support and serve his fellow Marines after his tours of duty, he became a member of the Marine Corps Association and was also a Life Member of the Marine Corps League, Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Campaign Member of the National Museum of the
Marine Corps, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Toys For Tots through The Marine Corps League, Tamarac Detachment #755, FL http://www.tamaracmcl.us/toysfortots.shtml
