

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Linda graduated from James Madison High School in Brooklyn in 1962, and then from the Fashion Institute of New York. She quickly found work in the fashion industry in New York’s Garment District and had a fulfilling career as a designer with several clothing manufacturers in Manhattan for many years.
Linda was a devoted daughter. She moved to Florida in 1990 to support her mother and father in their later years. She loved travel. As a designer, she traveled frequently throughout Asia to manufacturing mills, including in China, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and the Philippines, as well to the fashion houses in France and Italy and other European destinations. For pleasure, later in life she traveled to Central and South America, including Brazil and Columbia, as well as to Australia and Russia, and the American West. She always returned to New York or Florida, the two places she called home.
Linda enjoyed playing and watching tennis and golf, and she was an avid reader. She was a dedicated servant to her community. She served many years as a leader on her condo board in Wynmoor. She was a dedicated friend, always enjoying the company close friends from throughout her life.
Linda is survived by her brother, Arnold Grant and his wife Sumiko, and her beloved nephew, Eric Zimmerman, and his wife, Kathryn and their two daughters Elizabeth and Abigail. She loved them all.
She will be remembered for her industry, independence, creativity, artistic talent and above all, her dedication to family.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 24th at 130p at Star of David Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale
