Marty was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Sidney and Rose Glaser. He met his wife, Suzzi, in high school. They were married soon after he completed his undergraduate studies at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, where he discovered his love for hands-on work and building. He then pursued his passions in both engineering and interpersonal connection through dentistry, earning his DMD from Tufts University. Marty was drafted into the army and served his country as a dentist in Fort Benning, GA. Then once he completed his service, he settled in Miami and started his own dental practice that quickly took off, helping countless people over the years. Marty was known for his generosity, and his family never went without free braces, dental check-ups, and advice from him. After retiring, he was surrounded by family, as he relaxed and enjoyed reading, tinkering, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Marty was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Suzzi Glaser, his daughters: Kimberly (Chandler) Paris and Abbey (Alain) Glaser Steiselboin, his sister: Sandra Elam, his brother Lawrence (Karen) Glaser and his beloved grandchildren: Samantha, Sabrina, Asher, Addison, and Axel.
Throughout his life, Marty was the embodiment of patience, resilience, and strength. He faced new challenges with quiet determination and excitement, and his composed and kind presence was always felt. Unapologetically authentic in his values and in himself, he taught his family the importance of hands-on work, patience, and strength.
He enjoyed creating and working with his hands, solving new problems, and making others smile. He showered his family with everything they needed and more than anything they ever wanted. Whether through hand built flower boxes, projects with his grandchildren, or solutions for old household appliances, his acts of service and creations were a testament to his creativity and love for his family.
Marty was the backbone and anchor of our family, and his absence will be deeply felt. We will miss his warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love. Marty's legacy will live on through his family and friends, who will cherish his memory and always carry his love with them.
