He was born on July 5, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the child of Frank Cohen and Miriam (Mary) Polin. He had two loving sisters, Ida Donsky and Bella Friedman.
He graduated from high school and then enlisted in the army. He was assigned, fought and received medals during his deployment in the China-Burma-India theater. Following his release from the army, he was active in local Veterans of Foreign Wars matters and held various offices in the VFW, including, president of a local chapter.
He was a jack of all trades, including, plumbing, painting, electrical and real estate. He loved to take cruises. He could cut a rug like no one else.
He is survived by his son Sheldon, daughter-in-law Michele, granddaughter’s, Alexa and Carly and grandson’s, Andrew and Brandon.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Ethel, and daughter, Bonnie.
