Robert H. Simon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on November 1, 2017 at the age of 87. He is survived by Betty, his loving wife of sixty years, and his adoring children Dan, Mike, John and Fran. He was the proud grandfather of Jeff, Michelle, Ben, and Kristen. Bob was a veteran of the US Army. His career in the petrochemical industry spanned forty years, and he was the former President of the Northeast Chemical Association. In retirement he was an avid golfer and gardener who loved the sunshine and treasured his friends who became his Florida family. Most of all, Bob’s family was dearest to him. A memorial service will be held at Star of David Memorial Chapel, North Lauderdale, Florida at 12 Noon on November 5 followed by a brief graveside service. In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests that any donations be made to Johns Hopkins University Medicine to support the Heart Transplant program.
